01Who we are
This website, purniss.com, is operated by Purniss Manufacturing Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., headquartered in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China (“Purniss”, “we”, “us”). As an engineering-driven digital manufacturing network, we act as the data controller for the business and project information submitted through this website.
If you have any questions about privacy, data handling, or intellectual property protection, you can reach our team directly at [email protected].
02What we collect
We only collect the information and technical files you actively submit through our forms or direct channels, along with the basic network logs required to keep the website secure and functional.
| Where | What we collect | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Request a quote | Name, company, work email, country, process (CNC, casting, 3D printing/polymers, or finishing), material, quantity, tolerance, application notes, and any 2D drawing or 3D CAD file you attach | To perform a 1-on-1 engineer DFM review, prepare an itemized quote, and follow up on your build |
| Find my process | Work email, your answers on part function, batch size, and material, the recommended process, and project notes | So an application engineer can validate the process match and follow up with quoting guidance |
| Sample kit | Name, company, work email, shipping address, phone number (for courier delivery), and the material or finish samples you selected | To pack, dispatch, and track your physical material evaluation kit via international courier |
| Capability data | Work email, process category, requested tolerance or material specifications, and notes | To send the requested process capability sheet and answer technical questions |
| Supplier application | Company name, contact name, email, core manufacturing capabilities, equipment list, inspection setup, and website | To evaluate and audit your shop for our partner manufacturing network |
| Guide & updates | Work email and the page you subscribed from | To send our tolerance & standards guide and occasional engineering notes |
| Email or WhatsApp | Your contact details, messages, and any drawings or specifications you send us directly | To respond to your engineering, quoting, or order inquiries |
Our edge hosting provider (Cloudflare) also processes standard HTTP request metadata—such as IP address, country/region header, browser user-agent, and requested URLs—to deliver the site, block malicious traffic, and show the appropriate regional consent banner. We do not run third-party advertising pixels, and we never load non-essential analytics scripts without your consent.
03How we use it
We use your information strictly to review your designs, quote and manufacture your parts, ship requested sample kits, and communicate with you. We never sell your personal or business data, never share it with ad networks, and never use your uploaded CAD models or drawings to train public AI models.
Where privacy laws such as the EU/UK GDPR apply, we process your data on the following legal bases: taking pre-contractual or contractual steps at your request (DFM reviews, quotes, orders, sample kits, and spec sheets), our legitimate business interests (vetting partner shops, preventing fraud, and securing our infrastructure), and your explicit consent for newsletter subscriptions—which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us at [email protected].
04Your drawings and CAD files
We treat every 3D model, 2D print, and BOM as proprietary engineering data. Uploaded files are stored in access-restricted cloud storage and opened only by your assigned application engineer and quality team. Your files are never posted to an open supplier bidding board. When an audited partner cell in our network quotes or manufactures an operation, we share only the technical data needed for that specific process under written non-disclosure obligations.
If your company policy requires a countersigned mutual NDA before uploading any files, contact us and we will execute one promptly. See NDA & IP protection for full details.
05Service providers and transfers
As a lean startup, we rely on a small, carefully chosen set of infrastructure and logistics providers to operate purniss.com and fulfill orders:
- Supabase provides encrypted database and access-restricted object storage for form submissions and uploaded CAD files.
- Cloudflare provides global CDN delivery, DDoS protection, edge security, and consent-log storage.
- Google Fonts serves web typefaces directly to your browser without setting tracking cookies.
- jsDelivr and cdnjs serve open-source client-side libraries used by our forms and interactive views.
- Our communication and logistics providers handle the business emails or WhatsApp messages you exchange with us, and international couriers (such as DHL or FedEx) deliver physical sample kits and production shipments to the address you provide.
Our engineering and quality team operates in Guangdong, China, while our cloud infrastructure providers operate servers in the United States, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. As a result, your data may be accessed or processed across borders to evaluate and manufacture your project. Where required by law (such as the GDPR), we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and strict access controls, to protect your data.
07How long we keep data
We retain personal data and project files only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above. Active quote, CAM setup, and inspection records are retained so you can reorder parts on the same locked setup and to satisfy tax, accounting, and legal obligations. If a quote does not move forward, you can request immediate deletion of your CAD files and inquiry records at any time. Cookie consent receipts expire after 1,095 days (3 years), and newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe.
You can request immediate deletion of your CAD files or personal data at any time by emailing [email protected].
08Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction—including the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or California—you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to restrict or object to certain processing, to request a portable copy of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
Email [email protected] with your request and we will respond within 30 days (or sooner where required by local law). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
09Changes and contact
Our services and this website are intended strictly for business and professional engineering use and are not directed at individuals under 16.
When we update this policy, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For any privacy or data protection inquiry, please contact Purniss Manufacturing Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. at [email protected].
